Graduate Student of Quantitative and Systems Biology
My interests revolve around coral and marine health.
Currently, I am investigating Yellow Band/Blotch Disease (YBD) in the western Caribbean. My dissertation is focused on comparing pristine and degraded reef communities. Preliminary projects are aimed at investigating bacterial community structures associated with varying reef environments and investigating the transcriptomic response of M.faveolata under varying health states. Future studies will examine YBD from a temporal and biogeographic perspective to investigate whether there are differences amongst locations over time.
